The Vision-

Maximizing Scale Through Minimalist Design

For this 1,890 sq. ft. designer boutique, the lighting strategy was developed to support a clean, minimalist interior language that blends naturally with the store’s raw concrete ceiling, neutral palette, and refined architectural character. The goal was to introduce high-performance lighting without overwhelming the space with bulky fixtures or disrupting its quiet, curated aesthetic.At the same time, the 13.8 ft. ceiling height required a lighting solution powerful and precise enough to deliver strong overall illumination, prevent glare, and bring the focus back to the collections. Every layer of light was planned to enhance the garments’ silhouettes, fabric movement, textures, and true color supported by CRI 95+ technology for rich, accurate color rendering.

The Solution-

Precision suspended

To preserve the openness of the space, a custom matte-black track system was suspended approximately 5 ft. below the original ceiling height. This approach maintains the dramatic volume of the exposed ceiling while positioning the light source closer to the merchandise for improved beam control, visual comfort, and reduced glare.The suspended system creates a refined architectural datum line, defining the space with minimal intervention and supporting a clean, gallery-like retail atmosphere..

Fitting Room Lighting-

The fitting rooms were designed with soft, flattering spot illumination using wide enough beam optics to create comfortable, even light around the customer. A dimmed perimeter LED profile adds a gentle ambient glow, creating a warmer, more intimate atmosphere inside each fitting room..

Storefront Display Lighting-

The storefront display was designed as a dedicated lighting composition to create depth, focus, and visual attraction from the street. Recessed adjustable spotlights within the drop ceiling provide a soft 2700K wash with medium-beam optics, while small side-mounted spotlights with narrow-beam optics add contrast and drama to selected garments, textures, and focal points.The flexible setup allows the lighting to be re-aimed as the display changes, with CRI 95+ ensuring rich, accurate color rendering.

NIGHT LIGHT

Operating at a warm 2700K color temperature and utilizing CRI 95+ LED technology, the system bathes the boutique in an inviting, high-end hospitality glow. This ensures absolute true-to-life color rendering, allowing the garments to be viewed exactly as the designers intended.

The IMPACT-

Precise Light, Elevated Experience

Controlled through an advanced DALI network, the lighting can be precisely dimmed and programmed into tailored scenes, shifting seamlessly from clear daytime illumination to a warmer, more dramatic evening atmosphere.The result is a balanced luxury retail environment: powerful enough to respond to the scale of the space, yet soft and precise enough to maintain visual comfort, reduce glare, and integrate naturally with the store’s raw concrete, neutral, and minimalist architectural language. The lighting enhances fabric movement, textures, and true color, allowing each collection to remain the focal point of the experience.

The brand’s primary signage was illuminated with a soft LED backlighting system, designed to create a refined halo effect around the lettering. This minimalist approach gives the sign a subtle floating presence, allowing the brand name to emerge from the wall with a warm, precise glow that complements the boutique’s quiet architectural language.
